New York, New York Staff Pick

When: Wed., Sept. 11, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: $5
A film about Isaac (Woody Allen), a guy who freaks out when he learns his ex-wife (Meryl Streep) is writing a book about their failed marriage and why she left him for another woman, Woody Allen’s Manhattan not only encapsulates what life was like in the Big Apple in the late ‘70s but it also exposes Allen’s neuroses in all their glory. “That book makes me out to be Lee Harvey Oswald,” Isaac tells his ex at one point. Allen is really terrific in his now-stereotypical role of a worry wart. The film shows at 7 tonight at the Cedar Lee Theatre as part of the theater’s 7 from the ‘70s series. Tickets are $5. (Niesel)
