When Kid Rock played at Blossom recently, one song that went over best with the crowd was his cover of Bob Seger’s “Rock ’n’ Roll Never Forgets.” It was fitting that Detroit-based Rock would acknowledge Seger, also from Detroit, as an inspiration. Seger’s working class anthems such as “Against the Wind” and “Turn the Page” really struck a chord in the ‘70s and ‘80s. Now in his late sixties, Seger doesn’t tour much so the tribute act Hollywood Nights gives fans their fix. Victory Hwy, a group that plays a mix of ‘70s covers, opens at 7 p.m. at Lock 3 Live. Admission is free. (Jeff Niesel)
