No Time for Showtime

When: Wed., Feb. 5 2014
The good news is the Cavs managed to squeak by the Los Angeles Lakers during their West Coast road trip last month. In that game, Luol Deng exploded for his Cavs-high 27 points on 5-5 three-point shooting. As a team, the Cavs shot 13-17 from beyond the arc and Anderson Varejao posted an 18-point, 18-rebound performance, par for the course for the Wild Thing since Andrew Bynum’s suspension and trade. In tonight’s sequel against the Lakers, the Cavs will have to rely on solid outside shooting again, and hammer the soft Lakers big men in the post. Tonight’s contest is one of the final home matchups before the All-Star Game where Kyrie Irving has been named a starter for the East. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at the Q. (Allard)
