A discussion of the book by the late Jewish Cleveland author, Harvey Pekar. Pekar's illustrator JT Waldman will introduce the book and talk about his explorations of Jewish history alongside Pekar. Pekar's widow and collaborator, Joyce Brabner, will speak about Pekar's life, relationship to Judaism, and views on Israel. This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Program in Judaic Studies. Co-sponsored by Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities, Department of Religious Studies, Department of Art History and Art, Department of English and the Popular Culture Working Group, and the Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program.
