NTC 7th Anniversary Bash with Mr. California Quintet/Punching Moses/Burger Boys/Eel
When: Sat., March 8, 9 p.m. 2014
For 7 years now, Now That's Class has carved out its own niche as one of the city's best underground punk clubs. You can't pigeonhole the place either. You're just as likely to see an avant garde band from the Czech Republic as you are a street punk band from Chicago. But in addition to hosting noisy bands, it's also just a cool place to hang out. On certain nights, it offers a vegan menu. And it's hosted everything from dodge ball tournaments to film screenings. Tonight, it celebrates its seventh anniversary with a performance from the self-described local punk novelty act Mr. California. There will also be a screening of the new film from the skate zine Condensed Flesh. (Niesel)
