Join Oberlin's Contemporary Music Ensemble conducted by Timothy Weiss, with soloist Haewon Song, piano. This concert will be in Warner Concert Hall, and is free and open to the public! PROGRAM: Jacob Druckman: Counterpoise (1995) 20' Judith Weir: PIano Concerto (1997) 17' Haewon Song, piano Augusta Read Thomas: Selene (Moon Chariot Rituals) (2014) 17' ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE: Oberlin Conservatory of Music cultivates innovation in its students. In its six annual full-concert cycles, Oberlin’s Contemporary Music Ensemble (CME), directed by Timothy Weiss, performs music of all contemporary styles and genres: from minimalism to serialism, to electronic, cross genre, and mixed media.
