The Cleveland Buddhist Temple will hold its annual Obon Festival Saturday, June 26, on the temple lawn at 1573 E. 214 St. in Euclid. This event is part summer picnic, part celebration of Japanese culture, featuring food, dancing, music and more. Cleveland's Sho-Jo-Ji dancers will perform, with opportunities for everyone to join in. Learn how to make your own paper lantern. See a taiko drum demonstration. Take a tour of the temple. Shop for beads, books, t-shirts and stickers. A cookout on the lawn begins at 5:30 p.m. Dancing starts at 7:30. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
