One Wily Guy

When: Thu., July 31 2014
If you’re craving the animated antics of yesteryear, you won’t want to miss the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque series “Still Looney After All These Years.” The Cinematheque is presenting a multitude of Warner Bros cartoons this summer; purists will appreciate the fact that they'll be shown on 35mm film. Tonight’s 6:15 screening will include four shorts starring Wile E. Coyote in his comically convoluted and pathetic attempts to catch the elusive Roadrunner. This collection of shorts premiered from 1950 thru 1957 and feature works from various directors including Chuck Jones’ Wearing of the Grin, Robert McKimson’s A Fractured Leghorn and more. There’s another screening at 5 p.m. on Saturday, and admission is $9. (Gonzalez)
