Photographer Bruce Checefsky seeks refuge in the garden from many irritants, increasing age, expanding development of his Tremont neighborhood, to our torn country in the throes of political turmoil. With these images, Checefsky uses a digital photo scanner as his primary camera. The technique fundamental to this method of creating images is that of expanding time- scan images are made on 30 second intervals up to several minutes which achieves the actual sensation of animation.
