Organizers of the annual Painesville Party in the Park boast that their event is “Ohio’s largest Free Music Festival.” They’re not exaggerating. Now in its 33rd year, the three-day music festival that takes place at downtown Painesville’s Veteran’s Park attracted over 50,000 patrons last year. Some 30 musical acts are schedule to perform at this year’s event. The party kicks off today at 11 a.m. with a singer-songwriter showcase. The music continues all day and blues guitarist Eric Lindell and his backing band the Sunliners have the 9 p.m. headlining slot for the first night. The music/party continues tomorrow and Sunday with concerts and family friendly events. Over 30 food vendors will be on hand and admission is free. Check the website for a full schedule.
