Patio Guide: Swirl Wine Bar

Lovers of wine and history take note: Swirl Wine Bar offers patrons healthy doses of each, as well as a warm and relaxed environment, exceptional service, and a dozens of mouth-watering small plates—from cheese boards, to mini rolled pizzettes, and sweet and savory desserts— that are all perfect for sharing.

Located just 25 minutes outside of Cleveland, this Solon-based establishment has become a destination for Northeast Ohioans looking to kick back in an 1850’s style vintage home, or out on a picture-perfect granite stone patio, which sports live musical performances at least twice a week.

“Our patio is really very quaint,” Swirl owner Rich Alaimo says. “It has that come in and sit down feeling.”

It’s true. Surrounded by a white picket fence and peppered with rosy red umbrellas, the Swirl patio looks like something straight out of a homemaker magazine. Did we mention there’s a patio-side bocce ball court?

And with over 250 unique bottles of wine, and 30 different wines by the glass— with varieties hailing from California, Italy, France, and the like— we reckon there’s really no reason to ever go anywhere else.

Go see for yourself Monday – Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until midnight (or later). Browse your drink selections in advance online at swirlsolon.com.
