Paws and Effect

At the zoo, booty calls are only a howl away.

Partygoers learn how zoo residents make the beast with two hairy backs at tonight’s Animal Attractions bash at the zoo. The Cleveland Zoological Society’s fourth-annual Valentine’s Day party features food from eight area restaurants (including Fat Fish Blue, Blue Canyon, and Sans Souci) and three open bars stocked with Stoli vodka, Jacob's Creek wines, and Sam Adams beer. But leave the little ones at home, says zoo spokeswoman Rachael Fuller -- this blowout is strictly for adults. All the booze has something to do with the no-kids rule, but so does the event’s subject matter. “The talk about the animals’ mating [habits] might scare them off a little bit,” says Fuller.
