When: Mon., June 27 2011
Price: Free (Donations accepted)
Artist and activist Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul and Mary, will present a free public performance, in word and song in Oberlin’s Clark Bandstand on Tappan Square at 7:30 p.m. Peter Yarrow has charmed, inspired, delighted, and just plain entertained generations of audiences since Peter, Paul and Mary first sang their way into the national consciousness in the early 1960s. Yarrow’s visit to Oberlin coincides with the start of the College’s summer seminar American Democratic Culture Partnerships. Yarrow will meet with students from Al-Quds University in Palestine, Tel Aviv University in Israel, and Oberlin College, who have come together for three weeks to explore values and concepts foundational to American democracy.
