Playwrights' Festival

When: Thu., Feb. 6 2014
The NEOMFA Playwrights Festival at convergence-continuum brings four new one-act plays to life, including a soap opera in the post-apocalyptic future and an absurdist comedy set in the afterlife. In The Warlords of Walderhaven, which will be featured in next week's program, four male friends become women with the help of a Dungeons and Dragons-style game and a hypersonic portal. These young playwrights are making their wildest creative dreams come alive with no abandon (e.g. "D&D + hypersonic portal"). This week's program includes River Sky by Claire Robinson May and Keith Marcum’s short play Delta 32. The festival starts at 8 p.m. tonight at convergence-continuum. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults. Performances continue through Feb. 15. (Stoops)
