The rise of technology in the 21st century has generated new impressions of what it means to be “human.” Are we now in a post-human time? How are humans and intelligent technology becoming increasingly intertwined? How is being “human” different today than 50, or even 25 years ago? Dr. Kevin LaGrandeur from the New York Institute of Technology will use MOCA's current group exhibition Stranger http://mocacleveland.org/exhibitions/stranger (on view until May 8) as a backdrop against which to pursue these and other questions of humanity.
