Putting Around

Golf tourney requires eye of the Tiger.

Cleveland theater
At the Northern Ohio Putting Championship, the golfer with the best shot will walk off the course with a $25,000 check.

At several qualifying rounds this summer, participants had to sink two consecutive eight-foot putts. Nearly 50 golfers made the cut, and in today's elimination round, they'll try to knock down two 10-foot putts in a row. If they meet the challenge, they'll qualify for the next round, in which they'll face two 20-foot putts for a $250 prize. Finalists then get one shot at a 60-foot putt for the big money.

If you didn't make it to any of the qualifiers, it's not too late. You can pony up $40 to get in on today's action. The only catch: You have to bring your own putter.
