The stat sheet on indie rockers Ra Ra Riot is pretty impressive. The band usually sells close to 100,000 albums without any significant commercial radio airplay. Thanks to its ardent underground following, it got the opening slot on the 2009 Modest Mouse summer tour that took it to small outdoor sheds around the country and it’s currently on the road with the Postal Service on its anticipated reunion tour. The band’s new album, Beta Love, offers up plenty of elegant pop and the soaring title track alone ranks with the band’s best material. (Jeff Niesel)
