The Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project's (CUSP) second annual Re:Sound Festival, an event dedicated to new and experimental music, takes place today through Sunday at Negative Space Gallery, the Bop Stop, CODA, Praxis Fiber Workshop and the Magdalen. Tonight's opening night concert, at Negative Space Gallery, will feature three acts: Nois, a saxophone quartet from Chicago; the Cleveland-based experimental Miralia/Stranahan duo; and the Detroit-based band saajtak. The closing concert takes place at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Bop Stop, and features the locally based new-music group No Exit premiering new music by high-school students Mya Vandegrift and Emma Eddy. Both composers were selected for CUSP's CoLab project that aims to "provide professional opportunities and mentorship to young female and non-binary composers in the Northeast Ohio region." Single tickets are $12, or $8 for seniors and students. Festival passes are available for $35, or $25 for seniors and students. Purchase tickets at the door or in advance through Brown Paper Tickets.
