Relationship Stuff

When: Fri., Aug. 15 2014
Cleveland artists Joe Ayala and John W. Carlson explore the nature of human relationships in their respective paintings and drawings. They’ve both made an impact on the local art scene. The former gallery director for Cleveland West Art League, Ayala was the founding partner of Wall Eye Gallery in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood, and Carlson currently teaches painting classes at Bay Arts Center and Orange Arts Center. He also offers private instruction in his studio in the Artcraft Building. Their new exhibit It Figures opens today at Hedge Gallery. The reception takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. (Niesel)
