Beer Drinkers in Space Showgirls: Fully Exposed Edition
When the award-winning, all-female classical chamber ensemble Eroica Trio performs in Shaker Heights tonight, sharp audience members may notice something different. Violinist Susie Park joined the group late last year after an injury forced its longtime violin player to retire. Pianist Erika Nickrenz and cellist Sara Sant’Ambrogio have fronted the Eroica Trio for almost 20 years; in contrast, Park hasn’t even finished school yet. She’ll complete her artist’s diploma at Boston’s New England Conservatory in May. In the meantime, she’s jetting around the globe, performing Beethoven and Dvoøák with one of the world’s most esteemed ensembles. “I feel like a celebrity,” she says. “But soon it’s back to reality at school -- sitting in the last chair of the [school orchestra’s] second violins.”
