Sharp Dressed Man: The ZZ Top Tribute

Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill formed ZZ Top in a small Texas town in 1969 and went on to become one of rock’s most iconic American acts. Sharp Dressed Man, a tribute to ZZ Top, performs tonight at 7 at Lock 3, where they open for Monica Robins and the Whiskey Kings. Sharp Dressed Man is nationally known for its precise recreation of ZZ Top songs such as “La Grange,” “Tush” and, of course, “Sharp Dressed Man.” Scott Willis and Don Lybarger pass as the duo and even wear fake beards that make them look more like rabbis. Regardless of the cheesy fake look, the music proves to be rock solid and any long-time fan will be more than happy to hear the roots-blues riffs echoing off the buildings in Akron.
