Shrewd Behavior

Funny ladies like a good dick joke.

It's sorta obvious from its name that the female comedy duo Untamed Shrews plays to the ladies. "It's all dick jokes," says member Marge Tackes. "Men are very surprised that it's not, ‘Put down the toilet seat,' ‘Go buy me tampons,' and all that crap."

The Untamed Shrews' act features three movements. First, Susan Smith does a solo 20-minute set. Then Tackes does a solo 20-minute set. The finale features the two women onstage together, mixing stand-up, ventriloquism, music, and audience participation. The highlight is Smith doing an impression of Katharine Hepburn talking dirty. Speaking of talking dirty, Don't even try if you've got "a lisp or some kind of speech impediment," Tackes says. "It can ruin the experience. I just tell the guy, Shut up and fuck."
