Spirit Night at Coventry Library

When: Thu., May 12 2011

Carolyn Molnar knew she had a gift at an early age, from the day she felt invisible hands relieving her of a head cold. Since then, the Toronto resident has gone on to craft a career as a medium and psychic. (Those are two different tool kits, incidentally. "Mediums speak to dead people," explains Molnar. "Psychics can tell the future and read the past.") Together with her husband, fellow medium and former Cleveland journalist Benjamin Gleisser, Molnar just completed her second book on the afterlife, Compassionate Messenger: True Stories From a Psychic Medium. The duo will be at the Coventry Village Library this evening at 7 p.m. to answer questions about the hereafter and randomly deliver messages from loved ones who have crossed over. "My message is hope," says Carolyn. "People need to know that their loved ones are in a better place, and they continue to love you from there." The evening is free and open to the public. Copies of the book ($20 from Canada's Dundurn Press) will be available for purchase. The library is at 1925 Coventry Rd. in Cleveland Heights. For more info, call 216-321-3400 or go to heightslibrary.org. If you miss Molnar and Gleisser tonight, they will be at the Lakewood Public Library (15425 Detroit Ave.) on Friday. Or maybe you already knew that? — Cicora
