Straight Outta Somalia

When: Sat., Oct. 11 2014
The local film company Think Media Studios received international attention earlier this year after its movie Fishing Without Nets made its world debut at Sundance Film Festival and claimed the U.S. Dramatic Competition Directing Award. Much like A Highjacking and Captain Philips, the film centers on the issue of piracy and focuses on a Somalian fisherman who joins a group of pirates. The movie makes its Cleveland debut tonight at 9:30 and shows again tomorrow night at 7:05 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
