With a background in jazz, Kenny Endo has become a world renowned taiko artist whose innovative playing incorporates funk, Afro-Cuban, and Hawaiian rhythms with traditional taiko music. Kenny Endo is the first foreigner to receive a natori in Japan, and his playing can not only be heard in film soundtracks such as Apocalypse Now, but he has also performed for the late Michael Jackson, and played with Bobby McFerrin. Endo will be be joined by Abe Lagrimas Jr. (Vibraphone, drums, ukulele, and taiko), Riley Lee (Shakuhachi -- Japanese flute) and Sumie Kaneko (Shamisen and vocals).
