Taking it to the Town

When: Fri., Sept. 19 2014
Founded in 1966 as the Kent State Folk Festival, the Kent ’Round Town Music Festival has a long history as a musical celebration. This year’s fest is no exception, with more than 60 blues and folk-influenced acts taking the stage at more than 40 venues all within quick walking distance of one another. With the first act starting at 11:30 a.m., the music lasts all day. Admission to everything is free, so check out both old favorites and names you’ve never heard before; and enjoy a beer or two while you do it. Everything is happening in the vicinity of Main and Water streets. For the full listing of bands and show times, check out the website. (Trenholme)
