The Bank Dick

When: Fri., April 8 2016
W.C. Fields stars as a hard-drinking guy who becomes a security guard after accidentally apprehending a robber by tripping him. That's the premise of Bank Dick, a 1940 comedy directed by Edward F. Cline, who worked off a script written by Fields. Preserved in the United States Film Registry because of its cultural significance, the movie screens on 35mm film tonight at 7:30 and tomorrow night at 7 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque as part of Cleveland Cult Film Festival 7. The Dentist, a 1932 short starring Fields, will precede it. Tickets are $10.
