The Claudettes/Taylor Lamborn/Dire Wolf (in the Locker Room)
When: Tue., June 25, 8 p.m. 2019
A Chicago-based blues act, the Claudettes tap into rockabilly and punk energy. Pianist Johnny Iguana who toured for years with his cult-favorite rock band oh my god, is also a member of the Grammy-nominated groups Chicago Blues — A Living History and the Muddy Waters 100 Band. He has toured/recorded with Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and more, and that blues influence can heard on songs such as “California, Here I Come” and “Southbound Stroll.” The band comes to town tonight in advance of High Times in the Dark, a forthcoming album produced by Grammy-winner Ted Hutt (Violent Femmes, the Devil Makes Three, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lucero, Dustbowl Revival).
