The French Connection

When: Thu., Aug. 8, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: $10
Twenty-seven years ago, the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque screened its first film. To celebrate the anniversary, director John Ewing will screen the French flick Vous N’avez Encore Rien Vu, also known as You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet. It’s the last movie from 91-year-old Alain Resnais (Hiroshima, Mon Amour). The ensemble cast features a who’s who of French actors and they all essentially play themselves as they gather at a chateau to watch a production of the play Eurydice, the retelling of the myth of Orpheus. Sounds pretty highbrow. Good thing the Cinematheque folks will dole out free cookies at this special screening that takes place at 7 tonight at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are $10. (Jeff Niesel)
