The Funk Soul Brother

When: Mon., Feb. 9 2015
As part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s extensive Black History Month celebration, George Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic fame participates in an Inductee Author Series tonight at 7 in the Black Box Theatre of the Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts of Cuyahoga Community College; it’s adjacent to the Rock Hall’s Library and Archives on the Tri- C Metro Campus. Clinton’s influence on music is exhaustive as acts such as Outkast, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and De La Soul all cite him as an influence. After the program, Clinton will sign copies of his memoir, the aptly titled Brothas Be, Yo Like George, Ain’t That Funkin’ Kinda Hard on You? Admission is free but reservations are required. Go to the Rock Hall website for more info. (Niesel)
