The Postmodern Condition

We live in a world dominated by the modern technology of cell phones and computers. Code: Preludes, a new theatrical production from Theater Ninjas, a self-described “nomadic company” that likes to work at non-traditional venues, attempts to put our postmodern experiences in perspective. It promises to be a “sensory, interactive performance” that “unites theater and software to cultivate and rekindle a sense of awe for the power of mathematics and highlight the individuals who encode our humanity into modern technology.” And you thought The Matrix was trippy. Scene contributor Eric Gonzalez wrote the original score. It opens tonight at 7:30 at the 78th Street Studios and performances are scheduled through May 18. Tickets are $10 to $20. (Niesel)
