he Pursuit reflects on
For 50 years now, activists have fought for LGBT rights. The movement really started when protesters gathered in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia on July 4, 1965 and then called for an end to discrimination against homosexuals. In The Pursuit, an hour-long documentary, LGBT elders recall those troubled times. The film screens tonight at 6:30 at the Ohio Theatre. A half-hour discussion and Q&A session with the film's producer follows. Tickets are $10 and the price includes a soft drink, candy and popcorn. (Niesel)
