The Stone Foxes/Ragers/White Buffalo Woman

The Stone Foxes play grimy, dirty, dive-bar jukebox music. The San Francisco foursome mixes fuzzy guitar riffs and harmonicas with even harder-to-understand vocals you just want to raise a glass and sway along to. Since forming in 2005, the band has released two full-lengths, and announced a third album, Small Fires, will come early next year. The single “Everybody Knows” off the next record is available for download now. If its cleaned-up, rhythmic sound is any indication of what Small Fires will offer, it sounds like the band has matured. (Nikki Hunt)
