They're Bach

When: Thu., Oct. 9 2014
The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra Apollo’s Fire kicks off its season at 9 tonight at the Fairlawn Lutheran Church in Fairlawn; the ensemble will be marking Bach’s 330th birthday throughout the year. Last year, the orchestra experienced a double-digit increase in attendance and anticipates its popularity will continue to grow this year. The performances move to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights tomorrow and Saturday night, and to the Rocky River Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon. Cellist René Schiffer will give pre-concert talks one hour before each performance. And Q&A with the musicians will follow tonight and tomorrow’s concerts. Tickets range from $20 to $68 with special rates for students, seniors and young adults under 30. (Niesel)
