The sixth annual Touchdown for Hunger will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. Anyone who who donates one or more non-perishable food items to the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland receive a voucher for $7 discounted same-day admission to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. Non-perishable items such as boxes of oatmeal, rice, pasta and canned beans will be accepted in the effort to tackle hunger. Last year, the one-day event brought in nearly 500 non-perishable items and $1,000 in donations. The donations help out about 40,000 individuals each month. The Browns play that week on Thursday, Nov. 14, so the event doesn’t pose a conflict for Browns fans.
