Tuff Stuff Staff Pick

When: Thu., Dec. 19 2013
A veteran comic, Terry Tuff has a career that stretches back some 24 years. When he first began to perform in 1987, he would hit the stage and say whatever came into his head, which is common for most comedians. However, after taking a 10-year break to raise his sons, he came back and decided to adopt a clean comedic show. His reason for doing this was simple. “If God allows you to grow, you should mature as well,” he has said in an interview. Now, Tuff performs without the use of profanity or vulgarity as he talks about current events such as the election of Barrack Obama. Tuff’s honest, real comedic nature has gotten him on the bill with comedians such as Martin Lawrence and D.L. Hughley. He performs tonight at 8 at the Comedy Zone at the Thistledown Racino and has shows scheduled at the club through Saturday. Tickets are $15. (Lisa Hammond)
