RA Washington, the groovy dude over at Guide to Kulchur in Detroit-Shoreway, won one of those Cuyahoga Partnership for Arts & Culture grants, and he’s using some of the funding to sponsor a regular reading series at his shop. Tonight’s the second installment of “Uncanny Voices” which will feature all sorts of experimental prose and poetry and ambient weirdness among the closest approximation to a literary salon we’ve got in the 216. Tonight, check out Matt Margo, an undergrad at Hiram who’s writing some really out-there poetry. Then, by all means, read some of your own stuff at the open mic to follow. Reading will begin at 7:30 in the “Sally Tatnall Black Box Space.” It’s free and open to the public. (Allard)
