Up Against a Wall

When: Wed., Nov. 20 2013
We'd like to say the Cavs have been led by the solid play of rookie standout Anthony Bennet. But the guy's been throwing up bricks so that simply ain't true. Instead Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson lead the Cavs as they look to improve on the unsteady but occasionally awesome performances of the season’s opening weeks. Irving continues to establish himself as one of the league’s best point guards, and after a monster game against Philly on Nov. 9 (39 points, 12 assists), he’s been on fire. He’ll square off against one of the quickest young back courts in the league — sharp shooter Bradley Beal and former No. 1 pick John Wall. Both of these teams are fringe playoff contenders, and won’t be up-and-comers much longer. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena and tickets start at $10. (Allard)
