To air is divine: Unleash your inner rock god at the Fifth Annual U.S. Air Guitar Championships. The two-round competition lets you strut your stuff, and the winner will go on to the national finals in New York City, where he'll have a chance to compete to be the world champion. Bjorn Turoque -- the host of the documentary Air Guitar Nation -- will emcee the shred-off. In the first round, contestants have 60 seconds to bust their flashiest rehearsed (or improvised) routines. In round two, five semifinalists perform for a merciless crowd and unforgiving panel of judges. The final five songs are a surprise, but think of classic-rock and big-hair-era favorites like Bon Jovi, Metallica, Journey, and Boston, and you're headed in the right direction. You've seen enough awful opening acts; for once, come see some guys who really can't play.
