Tonight, indie rockers Vampire Weekend come to town on what they're calling their "most ambitious North American tour to date." Special guests such as Danielle Haim contribute to Father of the Bride, the sprawling, 18-song album that's drawn comparisons to Bruce Springsteen's The River and the Beatles' White Album. The songs work well together on the disc, and they hold up well on their own. The Paul Simon-like "Harmony Hall" might be one of the year's best singles. The live show tends to be a high-energy, celebratory affair as the band really rallies behind frontman Ezra Koenig. (Niesel)
