Water World

The boat show docks at the I-X Center.

Water World The boat show docks at the I-X Center. The Cleveland Boat and Waterfront Lifestyle Expo sets sail today with something to satisfy just about everyone. For the next 10 days, the I-X Center houses more than 1,100 boats, boards, and accessories. “The fact that man has always been attracted to the water and built cities around the water marries the elements of lifestyle and necessity,” says show manager Ken Alvey.

In addition to the latest powerboats, sailboats, and yachts on display, professional wakeboarders ride indoor waves, while experts dispense boating tips and Capt’n Willie welcomes kids to Pirate Island. Plus, the Waterfront Lifestyle Expo offers a view of a full-size Cape Cod home -- complete with a nautically themed interior and a boat-accessorized dock. Says Alvey: “People base everything on this lifestyle.”
