On his latest album, After Hours, Raul Malo covers a bunch of country classics made famous by legends like Buck Owens and Hank Williams. Seeing that Malo -- the velvet-voiced former frontman of the Mavericks -- is capable of making even one of Toby Keith’s meathead tunes come off like the most graceful come-on ever, it’s no surprise that he does wonders with this set of late-night ballads. “Welcome to My World” and “For the Good Times” have never sounded more elegant.
