Wildlife in Wax, a solo exhibition by Derek Brennan, opens Friday, July 7 through Sunday, July 23 at Loftworks Gallery. Derek Brennan, a Cleveland-based artist, has mastered the unique process of encaustic as a method to express the delicate balance between the abstract and the realistic. Encaustic is the use of hot wax and oil paints applied in layers to a piece of wood, thus creating a textured, vibrant piece of art. Opening Reception: Friday July 7, 2017 from 5pm-9pm Artist Talk & Demonstration: Saturday July 8 at 1pm
