Lakewood's Pier W is teaming up with Dreyfus Ashby & Co. for an educational wine dinner. Starting at 6 p.m., Kliment Stevoff, Pier W's level II sommelier, and Todd Pederson, Dreyfus Ashby's regional manager, will walk diners through a four course food and wine pairing. The pair will offer intimate, tutored guidance regarding various wines. “We’ve carefully selected each wine so guests can taste the hidden flavors in both the wine and the dish,” explains Stevoff. “It’s an educational experience for budding enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs.” Executive chef Regan Reik will prepare an elaborate four course dinner around the selected wines that features clams, lobsters, crab, scallops, wild mackerel and poached pear. The cost is $75 per person and reservations are required. (Jason Beudert)
