Acclaimed German painter Alexandra Huber returns to Headfooters Outsider Art Gallery through the end of the month with Inner Navigations. The exhibit features 37 new pieces painted over the past two years by Huber, whose first U.S. solo show was hosted by Headfooters three years ago. One work on paper checks in at a mere six square inches, while a canvas piece tops out at six feet. Huber uses myriad media -- acrylic, collage, graphite, oil, and pastel -- to create images that straddle the line between childish scribbles and sophisticated cartoons. But make no mistake: These are complex works that explore the playful, personal domain of the artist’s subconscious.
Saturdays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Dec. 26-30, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: Dec. 23. Continues through Dec. 30
