A Christmas Story Live Watch Party

A Christmas Story is the latest Broadway show to receive the live TV musical treatment on Fox. But rather than merely watch it at home today, Clevelanders can experience the extravaganza outside Tremont's own A Christmas Story House and Museum. The free fun begins at 5 p.m. with a viewing of the classic 1983 Christmas film, followed at 7 p.m. by a broadcast of the live musical, as viewers — presumably dressed in bunny pajamas — watch from their own blankets and chairs. Expect food trucks and Jack Frost Donuts as well. Lolly the Trolley will ferry attendees to and from an off-site lot throughout the evening. The nearby Rowley Inn is hosting an after party, too. They'll serve plenty of Ovaltine as well as slightly stronger beverages. (Laura Morrison)
