An Ernst Living

Standup comic Bret Ernst likes to joke about the differences between men and women, especially when it comes to going out for a night of drinking. He says women tend to stick together while guys don't show each any regard. The skit is rather involved and borders on theater; Ernst imitates a woman puking in the corner of the bar and acts out the part in which a macho guy tells his girlfriend to get it together. "I like to be animated in my material and paint pictures," he's said about his approach. It shouldn't come as a surprise, then, that Ernst has appeared on TV shows like Weeds and CSI: NY. He kicks off a four-night stand at the Improv with a show at 7:30 tonight. Tickets are $17. (Niesel)
