Anglophiles Meet in Brunswick

If tea, Kate Middleton, and the London Olympics are what it takes to float your boat, you might want to sail into tonight’s monthly meeting of Anglophiles United. While the informal chats are open to anyone with a jones for the British lifestyle, many attendees bring with them unassailable street cred. “The funny thing is that we found about a third or maybe more of them are actually expats,” says librarian Carmen Croghan. Discussion topics vary by month; tonight’s lighthearted food for thought involves marriage traditions in the United Kingdom. The get-together begins at 7 p.m. in the Brunswick public library, 3649 Center Rd. It’s free, but pre-registration is requested on the website.
