Artists in Training

It may not feel like it outside, but spring semester is nearing midterms for local college students. This means area art schools soon will be proudly exhibiting the work of their talented students. Cleveland Institute of Art’s Student Independent Exhibition opened earlier this month. Now, it’s time for Kent State’s art students to show what they’ve been up to. Today from 5 to 7 p.m., KSU’s School of Art gallery, inside the on-campus Art Building, hosts a reception for the 2015 Student Annual. This year’s juried exhibition was selected by Arnold Tunstall, collections manager at the Akron Art Museum. The show runs through March 18; tonight’s reception is free and open to the public.
