It was bound to happen. Somewhere along the way, someone was bound to make the ballet cool. Ballets with a Twist, a New York dance group, aims to do just that. Their show Cocktail Hour draws heavily from pop culture. The different scenes in the performance are based on different cocktails. So one movement is dubbed Mai Tai and another is White Russian. The costumes are more like what you'd see at a nightclub rather than a fine art performance. Think of this as ballet for people who hate ballet. The show starts at 8 p.m. at the Ohio Theatre. Tickets start at $20; a $100 VIP ticket provides access to a pre-show cocktail reception catered by Pura Vida and a champagne toast with the dancers after the performance. (Niesel)
